RCE Saskatchewan

I am currently the lead coordinator of Saskatchewan’s Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Technology Group (RCE-SK: https://www.saskrce.ca). RCEs are an initiative of the UN University and aim to promote ESD across the globe.

Working with RCE-SK’s Regional Facilitation Group (RFG), students in my Spring 2020 course on Usability Engineering & Research course explored iterating RCE-SK’s website design. Securing funding from the University of Regina Faculty of Engineering we were able to hire a software systems engineering student to iterate the design and development of the RCE-SK website

Continuing our collaboration with RCE-SK’s RFG students in my Winter 2021 course Designing Apps for Collaboration & Learning (Engineering Community-Centred Software) will explore engineering software in support of the UN Sustainable Goals. Members of RCE-SK’s RFG will act as mentors to student works.
